REMOTE FIELD TECHNICIAN - The qualified Remote Field Technician will be installing, testing and turning up, maintaining and de-installing Voice, Video and Data networking equipment to include: routers, multiplexers, CSU/DSUs, Optical networking equipment, and copper and fiber structured cabling solutions. This candidate will be dispatched from their residence to install, maintain, and in some cases de-install voice, data and video network infrastructure, and the associated terminal equipment (CSU's, Routers, phones systems etc.). Technicians will be responsible for a coverage area roughly 150 miles in diameter and must be willing to travel overnight. Quick response time will be necessary in this position. This position involves 24x7 dispatch calls in support of our in market service level agreements. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours and perform work without direct supervision. Candidate must have a basic knowledge and ability to program DSU's, CSU's, routers and fiber terminal equipment. Field Technicians must be able to extended wiring for POT's lines thru DS3 circuits and the ability to terminate all mediums to BICSI standards. BICSI certification is a plus. CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS BASIC Telco TOOLS and a LADDER. Salary and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS AN INITIAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREENING. In addition, accepted candidates may be required to pass government agency specific background checks upon request.
